"Life" explores the Mexcian theme of interrelation of life and death with the depiction of two human skulls forming a living butterfly.
Julio Guerrero has an extensive background on Community organization and development, student services and classroom teaching, human and social services, diversity training, nonprofit administration, community and media relations, outreach and recruitment. He was a pioneer in community controlled bilingual radio; co-founder of three community-based radio stations including KUFW Radio Campesina for Cesar Chavez and the United Farm Workers union.
Julio’s artwork expresses his passion for cultura and decades long quest of social justice for raza. Abstract, spiritual, dynamic and visually vibrant, his artwork is Chicanismo brought to life in the visual realm.
Proceeds go to MeXicanos 2070 to help in our efforts to preserve and enhance Mexican American culture and our activities like Colegio Chicano del Pueblo, a free online colllege classes with a path to credit at a reduced rate.
